Family Denied Seats on Frontier Airlines Flight, Passengers Say “Due to Mask less Baby”

Imagine being forced off an airplane all because your baby isn’t wearing a mask! Frontier Airlines said they canceled a flight from Florida after a “large group” of passengers rejected wearing masks, but the family involved alleges the kicked off solely based on their child not wearing a mask according to The New York Post. The incident occurred on Flight 2878, which was set to depart Miami to land in LaGuardia Airport at 7pm until the dispute obligated all passengers to step off the plane and reschedule a flight for the following morning. “Multiple people, including several adults, were asked repeatedly to wear their masks and refused to do so,” the airline said in a statement Sunday night. “Based on the continued refusal to comply with the federal mask mandate, refusal to disembark the aircraft and aggression towards the flight crew, local law enforcement was engaged.”

Nevertheless, passenger Hershey Greenbaum told The Post the baby seemed to be the reason for the family’s removal. In the video footage, the father can be seen describing to the flight attendants that his child was under the age of two. Hershey said that other passengers defended the family and became “rowdy” when they were kicked off. The parents told the attendants they would attempt to fit a covering on the baby, according to Greenbaum, but that did not stop them from taking action into their own hands.
